Multinational now present in the three major waterproofing markets: synthetic, bituminous and liquid

Madrid, October 2016. Danosa has launched a new range of liquid solutions that meet the most frequent waterproofing needs in the construction industry, both for renovation projects and new-builds. With this new product line, which is thanks to the integration of chemical company Quimidois, Danosa is now present in the three major markets of this sector (synthetic, bituminous and liquid). The new range will be presented at this year’s edition of Construtec, which is taking place at Ifema Madrid between 25 and 28 October.

With the acquisition of the Portuguese company late last year, Danosa took another step in its corporate expansion plan by taking over a company with 30 years plus of industry experience and a wide range of products with clear USPs: easy application and in-house high tech solutions, endorsed by the know-how of Quimidois.

With this new line, Danosa will provide customers with coatings tailored to various formats, prepared mortars, special additives for cement, fillers and additives. The range also includes ancillary products for cleaning, stripping, priming and specific mountings to facilitate the application of the products.

According to the technical manager of liquid waterproofing at Danosa, Ignacio Hombrados, «the innovation carried out by the company in recent years has resulted in a range of effective, durable and high-quality solutions for today’s construction needs in renovation or new-build projects. This allows us to place the focus on the customer, with products delivering the highest technical performance that are also easy to apply».

Strong market presence
With the launch of this line, Danosa has expanded its range of construction solutions in the field of waterproofing while also further strengthening its presence in the Iberian market.

Indeed, waterproofing was one of the fastest-growing areas in 2015, up 23% over the previous year, proving itself as a mainstay of Danosa’s business. Company revenue rose 4% last year, topping 80 million euros. This year’s forecast is to reach 100 million euros thanks to its diversification and international expansion policy.

Danosa is a company specialising in end-to-end solutions for sustainable construction and improved habitability, with sales in over 70 countries including France, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Morocco, Mexico, Colombia and India. Founded in 1964, it is seen as a pioneering company in the Spanish market and is the fifth largest in Europe, owing to the manufacture and sales of waterproofing, soundproofing and thermal insulation products and systems for construction projects and civil engineering works. It also boasts an extensive client base, with around half of the company’s revenue currently being generated overseas. What’s more, the company employs almost 300 highly-qualified professionals and generated €80 million of revenue in 2015, a 4% increase on the previous year.
